Advent Catlendar turns a printed cat panel into six rows of pockets on a quilted wall hanging. Lisa Swenson Ruble designed the 26-1/2-by-41-inch project with Meowy Christmas fabrics by Kim Haskins. The pocket rows are lined and supported with lightweight fusible interfacing before being positioned on the background. Sashing and borders frame the arrangement, while carefully placed quilting separates the individual pockets without closing their openings. Coordinating binding finishes the outside edge.

- Fussy-cut the six pocket rows from the printed panel. Add the lightweight fusible interfacing and lining pieces, then sew and turn the pocket rows as directed.
- Position the pocket rows on the background according to the placement measurements. Add the sashing and borders to complete the wall-hanging top.
- Layer with batting and backing, then quilt along the marked lines below and between pockets while keeping their openings free. Trim and bind the outside edges.
