- Cut the center panel and frame it with red check strips. Piece the hourglass blocks for the border corners.
- Piece the red-and-white four-patch centers, then add the surrounding triangles to complete the border blocks.
- Join the border blocks into side, top and bottom rows around the panel, place the hourglass corners, and attach the remaining borders.
- Piece the backing, layer and baste the quilt, quilt as desired and bind.
