- Join the white background fabric and prepare the three template shapes. Cut the appliqué pieces, adding seam allowance when needed for your chosen method.
- Use tape or string to mark the placement grid on the background. Position the shaped fabric pieces according to the layout, allowing the variation described for their shapes.
- Baste and appliqué the pieces to the background. Use needleturn appliqué or another method, following the template allowance guidance.
- Layer the completed top with batting and backing and baste it. Quilt the layers, trim the edges and attach the joined binding strips.
