Saved border trimmings can become part of the binding for another touch of the prints.

Charming Warm Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day quilt pattern summary
- Sort the design-roll strips and matching charm squares into labeled fabric groups. Cut the sashing, inner borders and binding pieces.
- Sew the design strips into the four specified sets, subcut the segments and join them into four outer border strips. Mark each border end for placement.
- Join the charm squares into eight rows of eight with sashing between the squares and rows. Attach the two inner border rounds.
- Sew the pieced outer borders from marked seam allowance to seam allowance. Fold and stitch each corner diagonally to create the miters, then trim and press.
- Prepare the binding, optionally including saved border trimmings. Layer and quilt the top, trim the extra layers and complete the binding.
