Description:

Checkmate places two of each chess piece into a twelve-block quilt: kings, queens, bishops, knights, rooks and pawns. The appliqued shapes sit inside pieced sashing with contrasting cornerstones. An inner border and a wider outer border surround the four block rows. Wendy Sheppard designed this intermediate Game Night quilt to finish at 61 by 75 inches, and the pattern includes full-size templates for all six chess-piece shapes with raw-edge tracing lines.
