Color Wheel (Field Day) Free Quilt Pattern by Kelly Ventura
Color Wheel centers a pieced medallion on an Optic White background in an 84 inch square quilt. Kelly Ventura designed this Field Day project with eight wedges, each built from six curved arc pieces. The wedges join into one medallion before it is appliqued to the background. A narrow Sycamore border surrounds the white field, and the same print supplies the binding. The templates include an enlargement guide and a scale-check square.

- Enlarge the arc templates to 400 percent and check the marked scale square. Cut the arcs by fabric letter and piece the large background square.
- Sew the six arcs of each wedge in the specified order. Make the eight different wedge combinations, then join them in the numbered arrangement to form the medallion.
- Center the medallion on the background square and secure it using your preferred applique method. Add the side borders, followed by the top and bottom borders.
- Layer and quilt the top as desired. Join the binding strips with diagonal seams, fold the strip lengthwise and bind the quilt.
