Cozy Casserole Carrier Free Pattern by Ann Wanke - Free Quilt Pattern
Cozy Casserole Carrier by Ann Wanke of the Quilted Basket uses In the Mix fabrics to make a quilted carrier with rounded corners. Four triangles form its outside, with a separate lining beneath the quilted surface. A fabric handle containing Insul-bright runs along one diagonal, and reinforced loops with metal rings attach at the opposite corners. Coordinating binding finishes the edge. The construction brings patchwork, quilting and sewn handles together in a kitchen project made from the collection’s red prints and blue binding fabric.

Cozy Casserole Carrier Free Pattern by Ann Wanke quilt pattern summary
- Cut a square from each outside fabric and divide each diagonally. Arrange the four triangles as shown and sew them together, then cut the lining square.
- Layer the carrier into a quilt sandwich and quilt. Fold it into quarters and use a curve ruler or circle template to round the corners.
- Fold the handle fabric around the Insul-bright strip, enclosing its raw edges, and topstitch. Trim it to the diagonal length and attach it inside the carrier.
- Construct four small loops, fold them around the metal rings and reinforce their attachment at the opposite corners. Cut the binding strips and bind the carrier.
