Darcy Rose Free Quilt Pattern by Mary Koval
Darcy Rose by Mary Koval alternates rows of small four-patch blocks with wide strips of the Darcy collection’s main print. The quilt finishes at 50 by 51 inches and uses twelve fat eighths for the varied patchwork. Tan triangles set the four-patch rows, a narrow blue border frames the center, and remaining strip-set pieces are used in the outer patchwork border. The main-print strips are cut along the length of the fabric to preserve its directional design.

- Cut strips from the fat eighths, pair fabrics into strip sets and press. Subcut the sets and combine the segments into twenty-one four-patch blocks, reserving remaining segments for the border.
- Cut the tan setting triangles and join them with the four-patch blocks in rows. Cut the directional main-print strips lengthwise and assemble them with the patchwork rows.
- Measure the quilt and add the narrow blue border. Randomly join the reserved segments and additional squares, then measure and attach the outer patchwork border.
- Join the blue binding strips end to end. Quilt the top using the preferred design and bind.
