Diamonds Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day quilt pattern summary
- Print and check the diamond and triangle templates, then number the chosen fat quarters in the desired sequence. Cut the feature shapes and the background pieces.
- Cut the background rectangles on opposing diagonals. Sew those triangles around the diamonds to make seventy-two blocks and around the edge triangles to make ten smaller blocks.
- Arrange eleven columns, placing triangle blocks at the ends of alternating columns. Sew the columns together while maintaining the direction of the featured prints.
- Measure the center, add the narrow inner border and fussy-cut outer border, then layer and quilt. Finish with the prepared binding.
