Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Elixir combines foundation-pieced blocks with setting triangles in a diagonal quilt layout. Natalie Crabtree designed the 66.5 by 86.5 inch project with The Opposite and Palette fabrics by Marcia Derse. Each block brings together two different foundation sections, with the fabric placement changing between the eighteen blocks. An Optic White background separates the pieced shapes, and two borders frame the rectangular center before the binding is added.

Elixir Free Quilt Pattern by Natalie Crabtree quilt pattern summary

  1. Print the two foundation templates at 100 percent and prepare the fabric pieces by letter. Keep the numbered and lettered sections organized for the different block combinations.
  2. Sew the foundation sections in their indicated order, trimming and pressing each added piece. Complete the A and B sections, trim their edges and remove the foundation papers as directed.
  3. Join four A sections and four B sections to make each block, matching the illustrated color combinations. Assemble the eighteen blocks into diagonal rows with the setting and corner triangles.
  4. Join the rows, add the two borders and prepare the backing and batting. Baste, quilt and finish the quilt with the Fabric N binding.
