Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Marie Webster combines square-in-a-square blocks with sets of flying geese in a 58-inch-square quilt. Jean Ann Wright's intermediate-level pattern features the Marie Webster collection by Georgia Bonesteel in association with the Quilter's Hall of Fame. The design includes lilac and blue fabric options for the same arrangement. Alternating sashing and block rows establish the directional layout, followed by a narrow border and a wider outer border with mitered corners.

Marie Webster Free Quilt Pattern by Jean Ann Wright quilt pattern summary

  1. Cut the pieces for the chosen colorway and sew the flying-geese units. Join them in sets of three, keeping the color order shown in the layout.
  2. Sew triangles around the feature and cornerstone squares. Alternate these blocks with the flying-geese sets to make the block and sashing rows, then join the rows.
  3. Attach the narrow borders and miter the corners of the outer borders. Piece the backing, layer and baste the quilt, then quilt and bind.
