Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Moonflower combines curved petal piecing with appliqued circles in blocks arranged on the diagonal. Partial blocks carry the petal shapes to the sides and corners, while appliqued leaves form a separate outer border. Featuring Enchant batiks, the intermediate quilt finishes at 56.5 by 70.5 inches. The leaf appliques are made from joined fabric strips, and the pattern offers turned-edge or raw-edge applique options for the circles and leaves that complete the pieced design.

  1. Prepare the petal and background templates and choose a turned-edge or raw-edge applique method for the circles and leaves.
  2. Sew the curved petal and background pieces into blocks and setting triangles, then applique the full, half and quarter circles in their designated positions.
  3. Join the diagonal rows and plain borders; make two-fabric leaf appliques, stitch them to the outer-border strips and attach the borders. Layer, quilt and bind.
