Ornamented places a printed panel at the center of a 49-by-57-inch quilt and surrounds it with a border of diamond-in-square units. Several coordinating prints appear in the pieced border, followed by narrow framing strips and a wider outer print border. Wendy Sheppard designed the quilt with the O’Christmas Tree collection. The outer border is pieced from designated lengths of fabric, and a coordinating stripe finishes the quilt as binding.

- Cut the panel with its design centered, then cut the print squares and white corner squares for the diamond-in-square border units.
- Sew white squares across the corners of each print square, trim and press them open to make the diamond-in-square units in the listed fabrics.
- Join the units into side, top and bottom strips and attach them to the panel. Add the narrow framing strips in the specified fabric arrangement.
- Piece and attach the wider outer border strips, following the printed layout. Layer, quilt and bind the finished top.
