Quarter-square-triangle units alternate with plain squares to form the pieced blocks. Small flowers are appliqued at the block centers, while larger flowers are added where four blocks meet. The twenty blocks form five rows, and the pattern provides full-size flower and circle templates for the fusible applique.

- Cut the fabric pieces and trace the flower and circle templates onto fusible web. Fuse the traced shapes to the indicated fabrics before cutting them out.
- Make half-square-triangle units, then pair them to create quarter-square-triangle units. Arrange these with plain squares and join the rows into blocks.
- Fuse a small flower and center to each block and stitch them in place. Join the blocks in five rows of four, then add and secure the larger flowers at the block intersections.
- Layer with batting and backing, baste and quilt as desired. Bind using the L strips.
