Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Polar Opposites offers light and dark versions of one 60 inch square quilt. Natalie Crabtree combines The Opposite prints by Marcia Derse with Palette accents and an Optic White solid. Large framed blocks sit alongside smaller triangle-based blocks, and the pieces are assembled into four quilt sections. Each section uses its own arrangement of the block designs, bringing the light, dark and accent fabrics together across the same finished layout.

  1. Choose the light or dark version and follow its fabric assignments before cutting. Prepare the squares and triangles by block letter, including the marked diagonal guides.
  2. Make the half-square-triangle units and assemble the large framed Block A designs. Build Blocks B, C and D in the illustrated fabric combinations, checking their orientation as you sew.
  3. Arrange the large and small blocks into the four illustrated quilt sections. Sew each section, then join them in the specified positions to form the square top.
  4. Layer the top with batting and backing, baste and quilt the sandwich. Apply the Fabric C binding around the finished quilt.
