Portside Free Quilt Pattern by Natalie Crabtree
Portside alternates two block designs in a five-by-five grid, combining framed print centers with smaller pieced units. Natalie Crabtree designed this intermediate, 78-inch square quilt using Sea & Shore, Palette and Ruby + Bee Solids. Stitch-and-flip corners shape the framed blocks, while flying geese and four-patch units build the alternate blocks. The four-patch placement creates a continuous chain through the top. Sashing, cornerstones and printed outer borders complete the arrangement.
