Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Rays of Sunshine brings a circle and an arrangement of surrounding triangles and trapezoids together in a 55 x 77-inch quilt. Tessie Fay designed the project for her Pink Lemonade collection, with the shapes applied to an optic white background. The individual pieces are prepared with fusible web and their edges are secured with stitching. A separate printed fabric supplies the binding, completing the quilt around its radiating central design.

  1. Enlarge the templates to 400% and check their printed test square. Trace the shapes onto fusible web, leaving space outside the traced lines for the initial rough cut.
  2. Fuse the traced shapes to the designated fabrics and cut along the outlines. Arrange the pieces on the background in the positions shown in the quilt diagram, then fuse them in place.
  3. Stitch around every appliqued edge with a buttonhole or satin stitch to secure the shapes.
  4. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing, baste and quilt as desired. Join the Fabric J strips and bind the quilt.
