Sail Away Free Quilt Pattern by Debby Kratovil
Sail Away combines boat blocks, appliqued anchors and stars with long diamond blocks in a 47.5 inch square quilt. Debby Kratovil designed the project for the Fresh Catch collection. Template-cut pieces shape the diamonds, while triangles frame the applique centers and form the boat sails. The different block sizes are arranged together in five rows, then enclosed by two borders. Both turn-under and raw-edge applique preparation are described for the supplied shapes.

- Arrange the diamond, anchor, star and boat blocks in the five-row layout and join them into the center. Attach the inner border, followed by the wider outer border.
- Layer the top, batting and backing, baste and quilt as desired, then bind with the Fabric G strips.
