Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Sew What? by Whistler Studios pairs rows of Graffiti print rectangles with a central appliquéd lettering panel. The quilt finishes at 48½ by 60 inches. Black strips separate the rectangles in the upper and lower sections, while white letters are stitched onto black fabric and outlined before being placed on the white center. Actual-size letter templates are included. Side borders finish the assembled top, and black binding frames a design that combines patchwork rows with a prominent sewing-themed message.

Sew What? Free Quilt Pattern by Whistler Studios quilt pattern summary

  1. Cut the print rectangles, black spacing strips and white center. Sew the alternating rectangle-row arrangements for the upper and lower sections.
  2. Arrange the rows in order and join each section with black horizontal strips, starting and ending with a strip.
  3. Cut the white letters from the templates and appliqué them to the black fabric. Trim the black outline, center it on the white panel and appliqué it in place, removing excess fabric behind the lettering.
  4. Join the white center between the upper and lower sections, trim the edges and add the side borders. Layer, quilt and bind.
