Description:
Sky High combines long fabric strips with pieced columns in a 64 by 78 inch quilt designed by Heidi Pridemore. The Ella fabrics appear in two column arrangements, each assembled from a sequence of short rectangles. Narrow dark-blue strips separate these pieced sections from wider light-blue and white leaf-print strips. Dark-blue borders finish the top and bottom, extending the same fabric used between the columns around the ends of the quilt.

- Cut the short rectangles and join the long fabric strips to the lengths specified for the columns, separators and borders.
- Follow the two column diagrams to sew the assorted rectangles into two copies of each pieced-column arrangement.
- Join the pieced columns, wide print strips and narrow separators in the layout order. Add the top and bottom borders.
- Layer and quilt as desired. Join the binding strips with diagonal seams, fold and press them, then bind.
