Snowy Runners Free Pattern by Hilary Bobker - Free Quilt Pattern
Snowy Runners is an intermediate table runner pattern by Hilary Bobker featuring Winter Whisper fabrics. It includes Snowy Day and Snowy Night colorways, both finishing at 22.5 by 47.5 inches. Three nested star blocks use two sizes of flying geese, with smaller stars at their centers. Sashing, cornerstones and setting triangles arrange the blocks diagonally. An inner border with cornerstones and a wider outer border complete the runner, and separate fabric charts cover the two versions.

Snowy Runners Free Pattern by Hilary Bobker quilt pattern summary
- Choose the Snowy Day or Snowy Night fabric chart and cut the pieces for the stars, sashing, setting triangles and borders.
- Make small flying geese and join them around center squares to form the inner stars. Make larger flying geese and assemble the outer stars around them.
- Add sashing and cornerstones, then join the blocks and setting triangles in diagonal rows. Square the center as shown in the trimming diagram.
- Measure and attach the inner and outer borders. Layer with batting and backing, baste, quilt as desired and bind.
