Song Birds Free Quilt Pattern by Wendy Sheppard
Song Birds combines an appliqued bird center with red and brown star blocks in a quilt measuring 72 inches square. Simply Red fabrics connect the center, the surrounding pieced star border and the narrow borders between them. A separate center-star construction adds another variation to the design. The pattern includes reversed bird templates and templates for the pieced stars, bringing applique and template-based piecing together in one framed quilt.
