Sun Dance Mosaic arranges framed print squares and corner-pieced units into a 47 by 61 inch quilt. Janet Houts’s design uses Sheri Small’s Mosaic collection, with separate teal and violet fabric selections for the same layout. Fussy-cut centers highlight the prints, while narrow strips and smaller squares connect the blocks. The pieced borders continue the alternating square-and-strip arrangement around the center, and matching backing and binding selections are supplied for each colorway.

- Cut the selected colorway’s fabrics, fussy-cutting the designated centers. Sew the F and G strip sets, crosscut them and attach the units around Fabric A centers to make Block A.
- Sew corner squares onto the Fabric C centers, trim and press, then add the side strips for Block B. Alternate the two block types in rows and join them with the intervening pieced rows.
- Piece the top, bottom and side border rows with the designated squares and strips. Attach the side borders, followed by the top and bottom borders, then layer, quilt and bind.
