Uh oh, a spool is unraveling! Refresh and try again.
Description:

Sunshine and Petals combines curved corner units with plain squares in sixteen blocks made from Nina fabrics by Whistler Studios. Natalie Crabtree’s intermediate quilt finishes at 64.5 inches square. Four block colorways form a four-by-four grid, separated by narrow sashing and small cornerstones. The curved units are cut with two included templates, then sewn and trimmed before block assembly. Binding finishes the edge directly around the sashed block setting.

Sunshine and Petals Free Quilt Pattern by Natalie Crabtree quilt pattern summary

  1. Print the two templates at actual size and cut the curved pieces, squares and sashing. Fold the curved pieces to mark their centers before pairing them.
  2. Pin the centers and ends of each curved pair, then sew slowly while adjusting the edges. Trim the units and combine them with plain squares to make four blocks in each colorway.
  3. Arrange the sixteen blocks in a four-by-four grid with vertical sashing between blocks. Sew the horizontal sashing rows with cornerstones, then join all rows.
  4. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing, baste, and quilt as desired. Bind with the Fabric J strips.
