Sunspots Free Quilt Pattern by Christine Stainbrook
Sunspots surrounds printed center squares with pieced strip borders, then repeats the framed blocks across a 72 x 86 inch quilt. Christine Stainbrook designed the project with Buttercup fabrics by Whistler Studios. Strip sets are crosscut into units for the block sides, tops and bottoms. Twenty blocks are joined with sashing and small cornerstones, and two mitered border rounds frame the quilt. Separate assembly diagrams show the strip units and their placement.
