Sweet Melody Free Quilt Pattern by Wendy Sheppard
Sweet Melody pairs appliqued birds with curved orange-peel patchwork in a 54-by-67-inch quilt. Wendy Sheppard designed the project with Birdsong fabrics by Clare Therese Gray, placing stems and leaves with the birds inside pieced star frames. Whole, half and quarter orange-peel blocks complete the diagonal arrangement around the bird blocks. Three surrounding fabric borders frame the finished center, and the instructions finish with quilting and binding.
