- Fussy cut the printed squares and cut the framing strips, border pieces and binding from the chart. Frame each square to make the night and day blocks.
- Piece the runner borders from small squares. Join the framed blocks with the separating rectangles and side borders, then add the top and bottom borders.
- Piece the light and dark side borders for the placemats. Add them and the remaining border strips to make two night and two day placemats.
- Layer the runner and each placemat with batting and backing, baste and quilt as desired. Bind all pieces with the G strips.
