Talk of the Town Free Quilt Pattern by Stephanie Prescott
Talk of the Town assembles a 48-by-60-inch quilt from four larger sections built with angled strip units and half-square triangles. Stephanie Prescott’s pattern features Terri Degenkolb’s Be My Neighbor collection. The directions include arrows for keeping the fabric prints correctly oriented while the smaller components are combined. Two broad rectangular blocks and two narrower sections come together in two rows, completing the top before quilting and binding.

Talk of the Town Free Quilt Pattern by Stephanie Prescott quilt pattern summary
- Cut the labeled fabric pieces and keep track of print direction. Make the long strips and smaller angled units by sewing squares diagonally to their ends.
- Sew paired squares on both sides of a marked diagonal, cut them apart and trim the half-square triangles. Use the component diagrams to assemble the two broad rectangular blocks.
- Build the two narrow block sections and attach them to the broad blocks in the specified positions. Join the two completed rows to form the quilt top.
- Layer and quilt as desired, then prepare the folded binding and bind the quilt.
