Tweedle Dee Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day
Tweedle Dee builds quarter-log-cabin-style blocks by adding narrow strips around small corner squares, with diagonal corner pieces interrupting the growing frames. Stacey Day designed the intermediate quilt with Blostma & Song fabrics by Penny Jeffries. Full blocks combine with specially pieced top, bottom, side and corner blocks in a diagonal arrangement. The finished quilt measures 80 7/8 by 90 7/8 inches, with twelve-inch blocks, two border widths and bias binding completing the project.

Tweedle Dee Free Quilt Pattern by Stacey Day quilt pattern summary
- Cut and label the strips, squares and triangles. Build the quarter-log-cabin units in the given order, setting aside the units reserved for the bottom blocks.
- Add the corner squares and successive strip pairs to complete the full blocks. Piece the separate top, bottom, side and corner blocks according to their diagrams.
- Arrange the blocks in diagonal rows and join them with matched seams. Trim the center carefully along its bias edges, then add the inner and outer borders.
- Join the bias binding and layer the quilt. Quilt as desired, trim the extra layers and complete the binding by hand on the back.
