Zig-Zags and Pinwheels Free Quilt Pattern by Marinda Stewart
Zig-Zags and Pinwheels uses strip-pieced color combinations and ivory fabric to form the two named motifs across a rectangular quilt. Marinda Stewart’s design combines nine Colonies Solids colors in five different strip arrangements. These units are cut into smaller blocks and set among ivory squares and rectangles, with the placement specified row by row. Fourteen rows create the quilt top, which finishes at 40 by 56 inches. Ivory binding continues the background color around the edge.
